The Electronic Commerce Code Management Association (ECCMA), is a member based, international not-for-profit association. ECCMA’s mission is to champion the development and adoption of international standards for quality, interoperable supply chain data. Through collaborative efforts among industry and government, ECCMA enhances data & information accuracy and reduces costs associated with identifying and describing individuals, organizations, locations, goods, and services within business systems worldwide.
ECCMA is the current project leader for the development of ISO 8000 and ISO 22745, which are the international standards for data quality and the exchange of material and service master data. For organizations domiciled in the United States of America, ECCMA is also the ANSI appointed administrator for the US Technical Advisory Groups for ISO/TC 184, ISO/TC 184/SC 4, and ISO/TC 184/SC 5.
ECCMA provides a platform for collaboration amongst subject experts on data quality and data governance around the world. It has built and maintains the world’s largest open technical dictionary (eOTD) of concepts used to create unambiguous language independent descriptions of individuals, organizations, locations, goods and services. This ISO 22745 compliant open technical dictionary enables standards-based information to be passed from one computer system to another without losing meaning.
